i-Sensor EVO: Autogem's Latest Move to Streamline TPMS Diagnostics.

Autogem Responds to Growing TPMS Demand with i-Sensor EVO

Autogem has unveiled the i-Sensor EVO, a new handheld device developed to simplify TPMS (Tyre Pressure Monitoring System) diagnostics in workshops and garages. Responding to rising sensor failure rates a decade after TPMS legislation was introduced in the UK, the tool is designed to improve servicing speed and accuracy.

In a first for the company, the launch was showcased through a short online "upgrade event" inspired by technology brand product reveals. This approach aims to engage garages and technicians in a more dynamic way.

Bluetooth Integration and ECU Communication

The i-Sensor EVO is equipped with a Bluetooth-enabled OBD-II adapter, allowing seamless wireless communication with a vehicle’s Engine Control Unit (ECU). Technicians can easily read, write, and clear TPMS error codes, addressing common aftermarket sensor issues like missing ID codes directly at the source.

The device also supports direct ECU data extraction, reducing reliance on manual sensor readings and enhancing diagnostic precision.

Practical Design for Workshop Environments

Designed with real-world workshop demands in mind, the i-Sensor EVO offers a durable, ergonomic casing and a high-visibility screen for easy viewing in bright conditions. It also integrates on-device support features, such as relearn procedures and sensor ID matching, to streamline fault resolution without external guidance.

Autogem has focused on making the tool accessible with an entry-level price point and free lifetime Wi-Fi updates, ensuring users stay up to date with the latest vehicle coverage at no additional cost.

Supplementary Options for Extended Diagnostics

For workshops needing expanded functionality, Autogem’s i-Sensor PRO offers additional features, including tread depth measurement, tyre wear analysis, and a camera for documenting wheel and bodywork condition.

Meanwhile, Autogem’s Knowledge Hub supports users with online training modules, bite-sized videos, interactive quizzes, and certification programmes, reinforcing the company's emphasis on upskilling technicians.

The launch of the i-Sensor EVO underlines a growing trend towards accessible, workshop-ready diagnostic tools in the tyre sector. As TPMS failures become more common due to ageing vehicle fleets, solutions that combine wireless ECU access with technician-friendly design are increasingly critical. Autogem’s approach also highlights a broader industry shift towards lifetime software updates and integrated training, helping garages future-proof their servicing capabilities.
